QAA has launched a consultation on arrangements for Quality Review Visits to higher education providers.
Quality Review Visits are being introduced within the new approach to quality assessment in England and Northern Ireland. They form part of the Gateway process, which tests a provider’s readiness to enter and remain in the higher education sector.
The aim is to ensure that students receive a high-quality academic experience, that academic standards are appropriately set and remain secure, and that the reputation of UK higher education is protected.
We have now published the draft handbook for consultation. The purpose of this handbook is to state the aims of Quality Review Visit, set out the approach to be used and give guidance to providers preparing for, and taking part in, Quality Review Visits.
We would welcome your contribution to this consultation. For more information, please see the circular letter.
